Who this policy covers
We wrote this policy to be read, not skimmed past. It sets out what the site records, what it deliberately does not record, how long information is kept and what you can do about it. Because we do not sell anything or run user accounts, most of it is short. The date of the current version is Oct 14, 2026.
What we collect
When you load a page, the server hosting the site keeps a standard log entry: your IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time. These logs help keep the site secure and find faults.
If you e-mail us, we receive your address and message. Separately, your own browser keeps a single localStorage entry, "age18_ok", once you pass the age check. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Things we leave alone
The site does not track you across other websites, does not sell data to anyone and does not ask for contact details to read the guide. Currently it sets no analytics or advertising cookies of its own. If that ever changes, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first.
The Spribe demo and other sites
Two things on the site come from outside:
- the fun-mode demo, served by Spribe's demo server after you press start, which may use its own cookies or storage
- links to third-party websites, which have their own privacy practices
We do not receive data that Spribe or other sites collect. If you never press start, the demo frame stays empty.
How long data is kept
We keep information no longer than we need it:
- server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting
- e-mails: while your query is open and for a reasonable time afterwards
- the "age18_ok" item: in your browser until you clear it
Nothing is kept for advertising or profiling, because the site does neither. If you want something deleted sooner, ask.
Controlling your data
The choices are straightforward. Your browser lets you delete stored site data whenever you like, and the demo only loads if you start it. For anything we hold, mainly e-mails, a short request to [email protected] is enough for deletion.
Any future changes will be published on this page with a new date.
